In top 8 news, on Wednesday evening (June 28) Claas (b) beat Paul by resignation, moving him to 2 wins from 4 games. This result has been reflected in the latest Top 8 table.

ChiyoDad’s excellent blog

I came across a blog about go called ChiyoDad Learns Go recently.  It’s written by a guy who calls himself ChiyoDad, and not surprisingly is about his efforts to learn go!  Excellent stuff, and plenty of interesting content for both beginners and dan level players.  Definitely worth a look.

The 2006 World Amateur Go Championship was held in Huis Ten Bosch, Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture.  Steve Flinter was the Irish representative on this occasion.  He was disappointed to only finish with 2 wins out of a possible 8, meaning he finished in 60th position out of a record 68 participants.  Check out the full table […]
