2009 IRISH GO CONGRESS

20th March - 22nd MARCH 2009

TEACHERS CLUB, 36 PARNELL SQ., DUBLIN 1.

PROGRAMME:

A 3 day congress including 2 Irish titles will attract many Go players to Ireland. The Irish Rapid takes place on the Friday evening followed by the 20th Irish Open on Saturday and Sunday.

This year the Irish Open will be a Pandanet Super event in the EGF Pandanet Tour. The Irish Open is a five-round tournament conducted under a McMahon draw, all games will be played with 60 minutes per player and Canadian overtime of 15 stones in 5 minutes. Japanese rules will be used with a komi of 6.5. All events will be held in The Teachers Club, 36 Parnell Square.

TOURNAMENT FEE:

Open: 25 Euro
  10 Euro for students and unemployed (same as last year)
Rapid: 10 Euro

Payment will be accepted at registration for overseas participants. Cheques and bankdrafts must be in Euros and made payable to the Irish Go Association.

PRIZES:Prizes will be awarded for all participants achieving three or more wins in the main tournament.
