Clubs & Tournaments
Posted by stephen on June 19th, 2006Go clubs meet regularly in most of the major cities in Ireland and each club hosts its own tournament. The oldest and biggest Irish tournament is the Irish Go Congress, held annually in Dublin.

Irish Go Congress
The 2009 Irish Go Congress will be held from 20th – 22nd March, in the Teachers Club, Parnell Square, Dublin 1. The Congress consists of two events – the Irish Open and the Rapid. The 2009 Irish Open is a European Cup PandaNet Super Tournament.
Belfast
The Belfast Go Club meets on Monday nights at the Belfast Boat Club in Stranmillis. The second Belfast tournament was held in September 2008. More….
Cork
The UCC Go Club meets on Wednesday nights in the Kane Building. There are also occasional meetings in Cobh. The second UCC tournament will be held 17th-18th January 2009. More….
Dublin
The Tea Garden Go Club meets on Mondays (except for holidays) at 8:30 in the Tea Garden on Ormond Quay, Dublin 1. Collegians Go Club meets Wednesday evenings at 8:30 in Larry Murphy’s pub on Baggot Street. The next Irish Go Congress will take place 20th – 22nd March 2009 at the Teachers Club on Parnell Square. Galway Go Club meets on Tuesday nights in the Westwood House hotel. The first Galway tournament was held in April 2008. More…
