Clubs & Tournaments

Go clubs meet regularly in most of the major cities in Ireland and each club hosts its own tournament. The oldest and biggest Irish tournament is the Irish Confucius Cup/Irish Open, held annually in Dublin. The full competition history of the IGA can be found here.

The Belfast Go Club meets on Monday nights at the Belfast Boat Club in Stranmillis. The 2013 Belfast Open will take place on the 26th and 27th of October, in Belfast Boat Club See the webpage for full details. More….


The UCC Go Club meets weekly and up-to-date information can be found on their website. There are also occasional meetings in Cobh, see  UCC usually organise at least 1 tournament per year. More….


Collegians Go Club meets Wednesday evenings at 8:30 in Toners pub on 139 Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2.

There also used to be a club meeting in UCD, but that is now dormant. More….


The Galway Go Club meets sporadically and meetings are usually organised via email. They have a website with more information. Since 2008 they have had an annual tournament. More…
