On Sunday May 10th, top Irish players battled it out at the Embassy of Japan in Ireland Tournament, held at the Japanese Ambassador’s Residence.

Larion Syrotkin (3 dan) went 3/3 to win the event against strong dan-level competition, avenging his loss to Dewei Liu (4 dan) from the Irish Championship Top 8 in the process (pictured slide 8.)

A very big thank you to the Ambassador HE Mr Miyagawa Manabu (pictured slide 4 making the ceremonial first move) as well as Dáithí and Onozaki-san from the Embassy for all their work organising this event.
