Ireland earned another solid draw in the Pandanet European Team Go Championship this week. Our opponent’s were Bosnia, ranked higher than on us on paper, so it was a creditable result. See the EGF’s special website for details

Ireland were washed out big time in their game against the Swiss. Burdened by the bail out and the prospect of economic meltdown a dismal 0-4 loss to Switzerland took place in the new Pandanet European Team Championships.

Daniel Paraschiv finished off Anthony Durity in under 100 moves to seal a 3-0 win for Connaught over Munster. Earlier Karl Irwin had secured a win for Ulster over Leinster. Defending Interprovincial Champions Connaught got off to a good start to the season with a comfortable 2.5-0.5 win over Leinster. Board 3 was drawn after an outbreak of sporting behaviour. The full results are available on this site.

5 Sept – Online Interprovincials Kick Off

The Online Interprovincials kicked off this weekend on KGS. Munster – Ulster was a game with high handicap on all 3 boards. Munster used their stones well and held back the power of the Ulster contingent. Final Score 2-1, see results page for full details.

The first online Interprovincial Tournament has come to a finish. Leinster triumphed over Munster in a 2-0 victory this weekend.
