Clubs Closed, Play Online

With the pubs closed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, there will be no club meetings for the foreseeable future. In the meantime, let’s meet online — there will be a session tonight, and subsequent Wednesday nights, in the Ireland room on KGS.

If you prefer the more recondite pleasures of heckling and criticising players who are stronger than you, there are plenty of opportunities coming up:

James and Matei will play the first game in the Championship series at 10am on Saturday, 21st March, also in the Ireland room on KGS.

The Euro pros will be battling it out in the new European Professional Online League. The games will be braodcast on Twitch at 5pm (6pm CET) Saturday and Sunday evenings with commentary from fellow professionals. Saturday will see Ilya Shikshin take on Ali Jabarin, while on Sunday Artem Kachanovskyi will play Andrii Kravets.

And the Irish team will be back in action in the Pandanet Go European Team Championships on March 31st in a crunch match against Greece. Tune in and cheer the lads on
