The Smithfield Special returns on Monday, 5th February (St. Brigid’s Day) for the first of four dates in 2024. Join us in the offices of Workday in Smithfield, Dublin 7, for a day of rated games at shorter time controls.

The Smithfield Special is self-paired — when you’re finished your game, just look for another opponent and start again, or put your name on the list and wait for a challenge.

Entry is gratis, though membership of the IGA is required — I will be happy to sign up new members on the day. Tea, coffee and pizza will be provided.

Please register with Byoung-Ju no later than 1st February — we will be playing in his workplace, and he will need to provide a full list of attendees to his employer.
