IGA League

The IGA League is the Irish Go Association’s major online tournament. Competitors are divided into groups of 4–5 by strength, and play two games against each other player in their group, once taking the black stones, once taking white. Games are EGF-rated (Class D) and are played on OGS. At the end of each season, the top player in each group is promoted and the bottom player is relegated, with the top finisher in Group A taking the title of League Champion. There are two seasons each year, one in the autumn, one in the spring.

Season 2 of the League is now underway — see the Standings and Calendar below.

Time controls for Season 2 are Fischer time, 30 minutes main time plus 15 seconds per move. Full details of the rules, schedule and standings are in the Season 2 Spreadsheet.
