The news is coming a little late but the second game in the Championship took place on Saturday, May 31st on KGS. Matei Garcia emerged victorious against James Hutchinson to win the series 2–0, retaining his title for a second consecutive year. Congrats to Matei!

2020 Championship Begins

After a Covid-19–enforced postponement, the 2020 Irish Championship series will begin this Saturday, 25th April at 10.00am. In his first title defense, Matei Garcia will take on four-time previous winner James Hutchinson. The game will be played in the Ireland room on KGS.

Matei Levels the Series

Matei Garcia won the second game in the 2019 National Championship series, beating James Hutchinson by 6.5pts and forcing a third game to settle the title. The final game is provisionally scheduled for December 14th.
